Divine Love

Spirituality is all about removing of things that are not us. According to Vivek Chudamani - a spiritual scripture by Sri Adi Shankaracharya, spirituality is disconnecting or de-tuning or not clinging to things which is not 'I' or God or SELF or Atman.

Love spontaneously expresses in one when emotions and 'clinging to emotions' are removed either by de-tuning (neglecting) them or by surrendering to God. It is just like piling the layers of onion one by one and at last, nothing remains. It is not cultivating more and more love but to remove others emotions and thoughts and love will express itself. You will be filled with bliss.

According to Advaita Shastras, whatever you see outside is a mental projection. Divine Love is unconditional. Love has the qualities of renunciation. It does not try to pull or stick to anybody nor does is feel the absence of anything. A person from whom God expresses divine love does not try to bind anybody. Such a person is calm, undisturbed and mentally very strong. Love results into the uprooting of dis-satisfied desires. But this love is given by God to those who surrender everything to him and have a strong faith in Him. He/She does not have any other wish, on the contrary, he/she surrenders each and every emotion, thought to him. Then God transforms all emotions into divine love. Such persons are really rare to find. Who is ready to surrender everything to God? Love is a symbol of Renunciation. Love represents/symbolizes God.
